ARTS ODYSSEY ACADEMY

Arts Odyssey Academy is an immersive educational program that combines English language learning, creative arts, and cultural exploration for international and American students. The academy offers hands-on, real-world learning experiences designed to build communication skills, creativity, confidence, and global awareness.

Through arts-based ESL instruction, collaborative projects, and guided cultural excursions, students learn English by actively using it—whether in classrooms, studios, museums, theaters, or city spaces. Arts Odyssey Academy believes language is best learned through experience, expression, and connection.

Arts Odyssey Academy was founded by Carla Debbie Alleyne, an accomplished educator and program leader with over 20 years of experience as an English Language Arts and Drama Teacher and more than 15 years of experience as a Center Manager for ESL Summer Schools across the United States.Throughout her career, Carla has taught ELA and Drama to diverse student populations, using storytelling, performance, and creative expression to help students develop strong communication skills and confidence. In her leadership roles as a Center Manager, she has overseen academic programming, supervised faculty and staff, coordinated student housing and safety, managed cultural excursions, and maintained clear communication with families at ESL programs on university campuses and in major cities nationwide.Drawing on her combined experience as a classroom teacher, arts educator, and ESL program leader, Carla founded Arts Odyssey Academy to create a program that is both academically rigorous and creatively inspired—one that families can trust and students can thrive in.Arts Odyssey Academy reflects her belief that education is a journey: structured, supportive, and enriched through the arts, culture, and real-world engagement.
