Write A Play Intensive (2–6 Weeks) Storytelling • Performance • Creative Expression • Cultural Immersion Program Length: Flexible enrollment from 2 to 6 weeks Location: New York City Open to: English-Speaking Students Levels: Intermediate to Advanced Writers & Performers Program Overview The Write A Play Intensive is a rigorous, hands-on theatre program designed for English-speaking students who want to strengthen their playwriting craft, storytelling voice, and performance confidence. Students write, revise, rehearse, and present original short plays while engaging deeply with New York City’s professional theatre community. The program blends writing instruction, collaborative workshops, performance practice, and cultural immersion, culminating in a staged reading or showcase. Founder & Artistic Leadership The program was founded and designed by Carla Debbie Alleyne, a Young Playwrights Festival Winner, award-winning playwright, filmmaker, and arts educator with extensive experience in professional theatre and youth arts education.
